Meizarraf, an artist from Palembang, focuses on dark themes in his artwork. Over the past 5 years since 2018, he has immersed himself in the world of design and artwork. He strives to uncover his unique style in illustration, drawing from references both past and present. During his journey of learning and artistic exploration, he faced moments of frustration and stagnation, trapped within his own creative constraints. Yet, he rallied, rediscovering his artistic essence.

Rooted in his deepest joys—metal, black, occult, and chaos—he finds inspiration from various art styles, including Nouveau, Medieval, and Dark Art. Influential figures like Harry Patrick Clarke, Aubrey Beardsley, Vania Zouravliov, and Dante Gabriel Rosetti greatly shape his creative spirit. The symphonies of black metal music fuel his creativity further.

This year marks a historic milestone for Meizarraf as he unveils his work in the solo exhibition “Ordo//Abyss.” Through this exhibition, he aims to showcase his character illustrations and forge connections with fellow artists, audiences, and the wider community. The exhibition’s foundation is a dark and occult theme, and it graces two distinct venues: the first in Bandung at the Temporal Platform within Maternal Disaster, and the second in his hometown of Rumah Sintas Palembang.
